Robin Bell-Jones transfers to Hong Kong to lead Permira’s TMT sector in Asia.
Hong Kong, 25 June 2012 – Permira, the European private equity firm with global reach, announces today the move of London Partner Robin Bell-Jones to the firm’s Hong Kong office to lead its Technology, Media and Telecoms sector (TMT) in Asia. Robin will work closely with Co-Heads of Asia Henry Chen and Alex Emery to further develop the firm’s franchise and investment activities in the region. He will focus on TMT acquisition opportunities as well as support the international expansion efforts of our funds’ current TMT portfolio companies.
Robin has worked for Permira for over 10 years in both the London and Frankfurt offices and is one of four Partners in the TMT team. He has been involved in a number of the Permira funds’ investments including current portfolio companies All3Media, the UK’s largest independent TV production company, and ProSiebenSat.1, a leading European broadcasting group. He also worked on realised investments debitel, a German mobile telecoms business, and Premiere, a German pay-TV company.

Permira’s Global TMT team was established in the late nineties and is now 16 people strong. The Permira funds have invested circa €6bn of equity in over 40 private equity investments in more than 15 countries since 1985.
