Since 2005, the Japanese team has been responsible for identifying investment opportunities for the Permira funds in the Japanese market where we can leverage our international experience, sector knowledge and local expertise. The Permira funds made their first investment in the region in 2008 by acquiring the agrochemicals company Arysta LifeScience, one of the largest buy-outs to date in Japan.
